Stores Co-ordinator

  • Full time based at Calder Vale Road, Wakefield, West Yorkshire
  • 37 hours a week
  • 8 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Thursday
  • 8 am to 1 pm, Friday

We are looking for a Stores Co-ordinator to join our expanding team

MAIN FUNCTION & SCOPE OF THE JOB:

You will be responsible to the Manufacturing Manager for the efficiency of all stock controls, stores, issuing and receiving functions. Must have fork truck driving & overhead crane experience and be familiar with ERP software systems.

MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Receive incoming goods and examine for satisfactory condition and documentation.
  • Responsible for unloading/loading of deliveries/dispatches.
  • Kitting of assemblies in line with production schedules and customer spare order requirements.
  • Maintain stock levels to the current requirement level and in accordance with the documented quality procedures.
  • Control the issue of stocked PPE and RPE and maintain the issue register.
  • Control the issue of stocked factory equipment and maintain the issue register.
  • Control the stock of paint & gas and lubrication barrels & re-order accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and provide adequate stores security.
  • Control any transport requirements on site.
  • Periodically check stock records for accuracy through a process of perpetual stock checks.
  • Maintain satisfactory storage conditions and draw attention to stock damage or conditions that may cause damage or deterioration of products or materials.
  • Always observe and comply with health & safety and security requirements.
  • Actively pursue continuous improvements in methods of storage, receipt and issuing activities and make recommendations for their implementation when appropriate.
  • Maintain tidiness in the stores and goods receiving areas and employ good standards of housekeeping.
  • Provide cover for other duties and help in other areas as requested by the Manufacturing Manager.
  • Be willing to learn new duties outside the normal function.

    • Fork Truck Licence (E)
