Sixteen models make up the Rhodes Hi-Mech CNC Mechanical Shear range. This new range designed specifically for accurate high volume production, includes in its comprehensive specification; a CNC Back Gauge; Sheet Support System; Air/Electric operated clutch; and Heavy Duty Worm Drive. Ergonomically designed together with smart styling, each machine offers the ultimate in efficiency to achieve high productivity at sensible budget prices.
Key Features include:
STEEL INTERLOCKED FRAME, which is fully stress relieved and incorporates a sliding table for blade clearance adjustment
DRIVE consisting of heavy-duty worm and wheel is fitted with a cylinder jaw clutch running in a totally enclosed oil bath.
LUBRICATION to slides and main journal is provided by a motorised single line pump via distributor blocks.
AUTO SHEET SUPPORTS consisting of steel rods, which rise and fall with each stroke prevent sagging of light sheets, either ferrous or non-ferrous, and ensure accurate gauging.
ADJUSTABLE BACK GAUGING is controlled by a rotary shaft encoder with readout in metric or imperial. The Programmable Logic Control unit has a memory to store up to 99 dimensions and batch sizes. Additional sequences can be grouped together to form programmes, which automatically move the gauge to a new position after completion of a batch.
MATERIAL HOLD DOWN CLAMPS are operated by an independent hydraulic unit. 'Cushion Clamping' significantly reduces noise and minimises any marking of soft or polished materials.
AUTO SHEARING enables the operator to obtain the maximum output from the shear. The system consists of three (or four) hardened and ground contact probes in the back gauge to ensure square/ parallel cuts.
SHADOW LINE GAUGING is provided by fluorescent tubes casting a shadow from the top blade along the full length of the machine.
ERGONOMICALLY DESIGNED CONTROL PANEL is stylish and totally practical.
