Three new machines from Atkin at MACH 2012
Atkin is exhibiting three new machines at MACH 2012 and everyone is a new or updated design.
There will be a very unusual triple sided decoiler – the first that Atkin have built for nearly 20 years. Holding three 1000kg by 300mm wide coils this is the ultimate machine to minimise downtime during coil changeovers.
There is also a new design of “space saver” with a 2000kg decoiler and a multi roll leveller mounted on a common base to give the most space efficient line possible.
Couple this spacesaver to the new design Atkin servo roll feed and this gives the ultimate in a compact but highly efficient press feed line. The new design of Atkin roll feed features feed rolls in torque tubes meaning the harder the acceleration the greater grip. It is a clever piece of kit that minimises slip giving consistent high speed feeding that produces consistent component quality.
