Group Rhodes celebrates promotion and Challenge Cup win of Ossett Albion FC team

All at Group Rhodes are celebrating the recent promotion of Ossett Albion (Under 14s) Football Club, which we sponsor, as the club has won the Challenge Cup and is set to move up to Division 3 in the Garforth Junior League next season.

This is the first year that Group Rhodes has supported the club’s home kit, as Mark Ridgway OBE, CEO explains:

“We are always keen where possible to get involved in local community activity and are particularly pleased to sponsor Ossett Albion FC’s Under 14’s home kit this season.   It is fantastic news that the team has won the Challenge Cup and been promoted, congratulations to all involved!”

Jamie Widdop, coach for Ossett Albion Under 14s, said: “We are delighted with the sponsorship we have had this year from Group Rhodes.  Without support from local businesses like this, it would be much more difficult for the club to run.  The team have worked hard to win the Challenge Cup and to secure the promotion and really are ending the season on a high!”

Group Rhodes has a history of sports sponsorship with relationships with both athletics and Rugby. Last year a division of Group Rhodes, Craven Fawcett pledged its commitment to international sports by becoming one of the lead sponsors for the WSF World Doubles Squash Championships in Glasgow combined with a young referee’s programme established by Scottish Squash.

Group Rhodes, based on Calder Vale Road, has almost 200-years of history in metalforming machinery and has manufactured equipment for the forming of composite materials from as early as the 1930s.
