Minister from People's Republic of China Embassy visits for aerospace discussions
Our Chief Executive Mark Ridgway OBE welcomed Minister Ma Hui from the People’s Republic of China Embassy in London to our factory recently.
The Minister was given an overview of the Group Rhodes technology and product range and an in-depth discussion was held about Superplastic Forming and Diffusion Bonding technology, based on the company’s 20 years’ experience in supplying to the Chinese market. During the visit, our senior management team discussed with Minister Ma Hui the opportunities for providing lightweighting expertise to China’s new range of commercial aircraft.
Mark Ridgway, CEO of Group Rhodes, explains; “This was a very productive meeting and we were very pleased to welcome the Minister to our factory. China has several major aerospace programmes underway and we talked particularly about the C919 and C929 aircrafts, for which we have supplied equipment for many years. We also discussed how Group Rhodes can continue to offer our lightweighting expertise to China as part of their ongoing aerospace engine development.”
