Group Rhodes Sell Two Award Winning KJX Horizontal Impact Extrusion Presses
Group Rhodes has recently supplied two KJX Horizontal Impact Extrusion Presses to Alucon PCL. The presses have been installed in a new manufacturing site to extrude aluminium bodies for the production of marker pens.
Based in Thailand, Alucon is renowned as the largest producer in Asia of aluminium impact extruded packaging materials, with an annual capacity of 400 million components produced on 22 complete production lines. Product output from these lines includes aluminium collapsible tubes, aerosol cans, bottles and rigid wall containers.
The Rhodes KJX Extrusion Presses are specifically designed and developed for continuous high-speed operation with complete reliability. An improved linkage arrangement ensures that inertia forces within the press are reduced to a minimum. All KJX Presses are designed with dual balancing systems to ensure smooth vibration free running at high producing speeds. The AC variable drive motor available as standard makes automatic speed changes quickly and safely. The Ergonomically redesigned tool-space area with improved accessibility makes the KJX presses a popular choice with plant operatives. State of the art design features include PLC and a load measurement stress sensor, which measures tonnage at each press stroke and monitors for overload and underload of the press or tooling.
